Event Description
This event is a hybrid gallery hop/house tour. Several downtown condos and lofts are transformed into art galleries for the evening, creating a unique downtown event that showcases local talent as well as the urban Columbus living spaces in which they are shown. Come for great art, great urban spaces, great food, and fun!
The Condo Hop Urban Art Series will begin in the Connextions Lofts at The Wedge-114 N. 3rd Street, downtown Columbus. At this starting point, each stop on the tour will have an informational display containing images representing the art and artists held within, as well as property information and floor plan layouts for those properties available for sale.
Where:
The Condo Hop–Urban Art Series will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 21st, 2007 at The Wedge in the Connextions Lofts at 114 N. 3rd Street in downtown Columbus.
At this starting point, images representing the art/artists and pictures of the condos will be displayed offering a snapshot of the tour.
Guests can prioritize the galleries they would like to tour for the evening. Some of the lofts and condos are currently occupied, and will have the owners personally welcoming guests. Others are furnished tour models; while still others are vacant or undergoing finishing touches. Refreshments and food will be served while guests browse displays and pick up tour programs.

How:
Several shuttle buses running a non-stop loop will transport hoppers between condos, or guests can use the maps provided to create a customized self-guided tour. A full tour loop takes about two hours.
What:
Each location will feature a chef from a different downtown restaurant exhibiting his/her culinary talents. Menu specialties will be served from the on-site gourmet kitchens. One or more artists will be exhibiting their work. Select lofts will have artists actively creating art. Some pieces will be for sale, with all proceeds going directly to the artist. Additionally, some locations will feature performance art.
Shuttle buses will return guests to a reception at The Columbus Renaissance Hotel, one-half block south of the starting point, where the exhibits from the starting point will remain on display all evening. Artists will be at the reception to socialize and promote their works. Guests can visit Bar 41 or grab a late dinner or snack at Latitude41, the hotel’s gourmet restaurant. The reception is scheduled to run until midnight, but the swanky Bar 41 will be open until 2am for those who want to party into the night!

A Columbus Metro Arts Creative Event
The Columbus Metro Arts Creative is a 501c3 not-for-profit community & cultural development organization based in the heart of downtown Columbus.
